(for) softies
In einer Zeit, die Härte oft mit Stärke verwechselt, widmet sich „(for) softies“ der Weichheit – als Haltung, als Widerstand, als Sprache des Dazwischen. Die Ausstellung fragt, wo und wie Empathie sichtbar, spürbar, teilbar werden kann – nicht als Rückzug, sondern als Form der Aufmerksamkeit.
Weichheit zeigt sich hier im Alltäglichen, als Fotografie – in Übergängen, Farbeindrücken und Textauszügen. Sie ist das, was sich entzieht, was bleibt, wenn Worte zu laut, wenn Formen zu fest werden. Empathie erscheint nicht als Emotion, sondern als Bewegung – zwischen Blick und Bild, zwischen Körpern, zwischen uns. Es ist Einladung und Übung zugleich: eine Ermutigung, das Zarte ernst zu nehmen, das Offene zu verteidigen und Sanftheit zu praktizieren.

softness as motivation
It is the force that bends without breaking.
Gentleness is a choice –
an attitude towards the world.
kindness as rebellion
In a time that rewards harshness,
compassion is a quiet resistance
that remains and endures.
empathy instead of ego
We listen.
We create space before words are spoken.
We feel before we respond.
slow instead of hectic
We pay attention to pauses.
We trust in silence.
Clarity needs time to take shape.
vulnerability is strength
We lay down our armour.
We choose closeness over control.
We remain open.
curiosity as a creative force
We listen, observe, understand people,
thoughts and the world –
with patience and attention.
respecting our own boundaries
We stay close to ourselves.
We don‘t give more than we can bear –
for ourselves,
for others.
gentleness spreads
Not loudly.
Not quickly.
But steadily –
from word to word, from gaze to gaze,
from hand to hand, from body to body.
We are softies.
