precarious luxury – ein Wortpaar das in sich schon Widersprüche generieren kann und gleichzeitig durch dessen Kombination eine Geschichte erzeugt. Mit dem jeweiligen Bildtitel soll ein Bruch in der Assoziationskette erzeugt werden.
Der Begriff prekär/Prekariat war in den letzten Jahren im Zusammenhang mit verschiedenen sozialen Bewegungen/Protestbewegungen immer wieder in den Medien („occupy“, „mayday“, 99% …), grundlegend hierfür ist die (prekäre) Arbeits- und somit die Lebenssituation. KünstlerInnen befinden sich auch sehr häufig in diesen prekären Verhältnissen wieder. Der Subtitel soll auf ironische Weise Fehler im System“ zulassen, bzw. plakatieren und auf diese Situation Bezug nehmen.
Für die Selbstportraitserie bildeten Alltagsbegebenheiten die Basis.

The chosen project-titel should support and correspond with the theme – errors allowed. It should also concretize the picture language. „precarious luxury“ – are word pairs that generate antagonisms. At the same time the combinations of the words are creating stories. Precariat / precarious was often used in the media, in combination with protests and social movements all over the world (occupy, mayday, 99 …). Precarious work and life situations are getting into focus. Artists also often find themselves in such kinds of situations. This builds the basis of the self-portraits – precarious luxury. The subtitel of every picture plays with the content of the picture. It should not transport a tragic story, it is a ironic comment of my and others life situations.
